Battles in Italy has Gone Gold

The sequel to Korsun Pocket and Battles in Normandy will be released shortly.
Matrix Games announced on late Monday the completion of Battles of Italy, the next wargame in Strategic Studies Group's Decisive Battles Series. The game follows Battles in Normandy (review) and Korsun Pocket (review) with new operations in Sicily, Salerno, and the invasion of Anzio. In this operational-level wargame, players will command their forces through three Italian campaigns. The game will offer new improvements and enhancements, including updated rules for surrender, political units, cooperation between countries, and improved amphibious invasions.
Battles in Italy will be released in late May through Matrix's online digital download service. A boxed game will also be released for those interested in receiving a hard copy.
