Ubisoft's next shooter is done.
Ubisoft announced on Tuesday its tropical first-person shooter Far Cry has been completed and will be in stores in the US on March 23rd and in the UK on March 26th. Far Cry follows the story of one Jack Carver, an ex-US Marine who gets in a whole lot of trouble while working in the South Pacific. The game has received significant popular and critical attention for its powerful 3D graphics engine which allows tremendous distances to be shown at once and an adaptive, intelligent AI. This is the first game for Czech studio CryTek.
The game's two demos are available for download from 3D Gamers, and a third one may be in the works. Due to their hefty download sizes and system requirements, interested players are encouraged to check up on the specifications beforehand or seek out the upcoming PC Gamer cover disk containing the second game demo.
