Microsoft announced on Wednesday afternoon that its real-time strategy expansion pack, Rise of Nations: Thrones & Patriots (preview) had been completed and would be released in North America on April 27th. The European version of the game should be available on May 21st. The new expansion pack to the civilization-spanning empire and strategy game includes four new campaigns (including the Napoleonic era and the Cold War), new units, new government types, and a variety of other new features. Like the original game released in 2002, Rise of Nations: Thrones & Patriots was developed at Big Huge Games.
Thrones & Patriots will be priced at $30 upon its release and further information is available from the official web site.
